Esta es la conclusi\u00f3n de varios estudios, as\u00ed como de expertos y de varios m\u00e9dicos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seg\u00fan los estudiosos del tema, esta situaci\u00f3n deja a las comunidades y hospitales m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os en franca vulnerabilidad porque podr\u00edan no contar con los recursos financieros necesarios para atraer m\u00e9dicos. Los denominados m\u00e9dicos itinerantes, no se dan abasto.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entre los incentivos a los m\u00e9dicos suplentes est\u00e1n generosos salarios, flexibilidad en sus horarios, en algunos casos les ofrecen alojamiento, vuelos, alquiler de veh\u00edculos y otros gastos. Los propios m\u00e9dicos a tiempo completo coinciden en la importancia de los suplentes en las zonas rurales y en el norte de la provincia. Su presencia es fundamental, dicen.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Qu\u00e9 dicen los representantes de los m\u00e9dicos<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La Asociaci\u00f3n M\u00e9dica de Ontario (OMA), asegura que hay m\u00e1s de 350 vacantes para m\u00e9dicos en las comunidades del norte, sin embargo, consideran que esta situaci\u00f3n podr\u00eda agravarse, debido a que en los pr\u00f3ximos cinco a\u00f1os, m\u00e1s de la mitad se jubilar\u00e1n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La presidenta de la OMA, Zainab Abdurrahman, agrega que su asociaci\u00f3n aboga por un sistema que incentive a los m\u00e9dicos a ofrecer una atenci\u00f3n confiable y continua en un espacio espec\u00edfico, no obstante, los m\u00e9dicos suplentes se han convertido en una parte fundamental del sistema, debido a que la escasez de m\u00e9dicos es verdaderamente grave.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Abdurrahman asevera que si bien los incentivos financieros que ofrecen algunos hospitales generan desigualdades, son apenas un s\u00edntoma de un problema mayor. En verdad, refleja la desesperaci\u00f3n de un sistema de salud que no est\u00e1 consiguiendo cumplir su misi\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Qu\u00e9 responde el gobierno de Ontario<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seg\u00fan el Ministerio de Salud, su fondo de Inversi\u00f3n para la Cobertura de Medicina de Emergencia Rural, que fue creado en abril, para sustituir al Programa de M\u00e9dicos Suplentes Temporales, est\u00e1 ayudando a los hospitales a mejorar el acceso a la atenci\u00f3n de emergencia durante todo el a\u00f1o, ofreciendo flexibilidad para contratar m\u00e9dicos suplentes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Por su parte, Ema Popovic, portavoz del ministerio, declar\u00f3 que las inversiones de la provincia est\u00e1n siendo importantes para conectar hasta el 2029, a todos los residentes en Ontario con un proveedor de atenci\u00f3n primaria.
