As\u00ed lo indica un informe de la consultora <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dunsky Energy and Climate<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, con sede en Montreal, que ha asesorado previamente a Recursos Naturales de Canad\u00e1.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En 2021, Dunsky calcul\u00f3 que ser\u00edan necesarias 52.000 estaciones para este a\u00f1o. Sin embargo, una actualizaci\u00f3n publicada en febrero de 2024 revis\u00f3 al alza esa estimaci\u00f3n, incorporando nuevas demandas asociadas a flotas comerciales y carreteras secundarias.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Desigualdad territorial y acceso limitado<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El informe destaca una fuerte concentraci\u00f3n geogr\u00e1fica: el 88% de los cargadores est\u00e1n ubicados en Columbia Brit\u00e1nica, Ontario y Quebec, provincias que tambi\u00e9n concentraron el 92% de las ventas de veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos nuevos en 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Este desequilibrio representa un reto para los conductores de otras regiones y, especialmente, para quienes viven en edificios de departamentos sin acceso a cargadores privados. \u201cLa transici\u00f3n a los veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos debe ser equitativa\u201d, enfatiz\u00f3 Jeff Turner, director de movilidad en Dunsky. \u201cEs fundamental brindar apoyo a quienes no pueden cargar sus veh\u00edculos en casa y dependen del espacio p\u00fablico o el estacionamiento en la calle\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El a\u00f1o pasado, el gobierno federal lanz\u00f3 una convocatoria de propuestas para financiar estaciones de carga p\u00fablicas y privadas. Se espera que el anuncio de los proyectos beneficiarios se realice en enero, una vez finalizada la temporada de construcci\u00f3n de verano.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No obstante, reconoci\u00f3 que ya se observan avances: \u201cEl n\u00famero de estaciones a lo largo de corredores clave, como la ruta entre Toronto y la regi\u00f3n del Atl\u00e1ntico, ha mejorado significativamente la experiencia de conducci\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica en viajes largos\u201d. Turner comparti\u00f3 que \u00e9l mismo ha realizado dos viajes de Montreal a Halifax sin contratiempos gracias a esta red en expansi\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Carga m\u00e1s r\u00e1pida, pero necesidad constante<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos modernos pueden alcanzar el 80% de carga en tan solo 30 a 35 minutos, y algunos modelos lo logran en menos de 20 minutos, lo que reduce significativamente el tiempo de espera en rutas. Sin embargo, Turner advirti\u00f3 que esto no disminuye la necesidad de ampliar la red de cargadores. \u201cNo importa cu\u00e1ntos veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos est\u00e9n en circulaci\u00f3n: a\u00fan se requiere una distribuci\u00f3n adecuada de estaciones para que las personas puedan desplazarse sin desv\u00edos ni barreras\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o, Ottawa exigir\u00e1 que el 20% de los veh\u00edculos ligeros nuevos vendidos sean de cero emisiones, incluidos h\u00edbridos enchufables, con un aumento progresivo hasta alcanzar el 100% en 2035.
