Este aumento se debe principalmente a una mayor expansi\u00f3n del cultivo del arbusto de coca en Colombia y a una revisi\u00f3n al alza del rendimiento por hect\u00e1rea, que fue un 50% superior al de 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En paralelo, el consumo global tambi\u00e9n ha experimentado un crecimiento sostenido. En 2023, se estim\u00f3 que 25 millones de personas consumieron coca\u00edna, una cifra significativamente mayor en comparaci\u00f3n con los 17 millones registrados hace una d\u00e9cada. Am\u00e9rica del Norte, Europa occidental y central, y Am\u00e9rica del Sur se mantienen como los principales mercados de consumo, seg\u00fan datos derivados tanto de encuestas como del an\u00e1lisis de aguas residuales.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Auge de drogas sint\u00e9ticas y creciente complejidad del narcotr\u00e1fico<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El informe tambi\u00e9n advierte sobre la expansi\u00f3n continua del mercado de drogas sint\u00e9ticas, impulsado por costos operativos reducidos y un menor riesgo de detecci\u00f3n para los fabricantes y traficantes. Entre estas sustancias, los estimulantes de tipo anfetam\u00ednico (ETA), como la metanfetamina y la anfetamina, son los m\u00e1s prevalentes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En 2023, las incautaciones de ETA alcanzaron su m\u00e1ximo hist\u00f3rico, representando casi la mitad de todas las incautaciones mundiales de drogas sint\u00e9ticas.
