Se espera que para la realizaci\u00f3n del evento lleguen a la ciudad cientos de miles de aficionados al deporte rey y Toronto debe ofrecerles alternativas de locomoci\u00f3n altamente confiables.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El sistema de tranv\u00edas es considerado el menos fiable de los medios de transporte p\u00fablico en la ciudad y los responsables est\u00e1n haciendo todo lo posible para que puedan extender el alcance de sus rutas. Asimismo, buscan aumentar dr\u00e1sticamente el servicio del tranv\u00eda de la calle Bathurst, que es la \u00fanica que llega hasta el estadio BMO Field, sede de los juegos.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Esa necesidad de incrementar el servicio a lo largo de esa l\u00ednea, se debe a que miles de personas se movilizar\u00e1n por ese medio, debido a que en la zona de Exhibition Place, donde en junio y julio se jugar\u00e1n partidos entre pa\u00edses como Alemania, Senegal y Panam\u00e1, no se encuentra ninguna de las l\u00edneas de metro de Toronto, s\u00f3lo se conecta con el tranv\u00eda.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>La prisa de la Comisi\u00f3n de Tr\u00e1nsito de Toronto<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Durante el Mundial de F\u00fatbol, se incrementar\u00e1 la frecuencia de los tranv\u00edas que deber\u00e1n circular en intervalos de cinco minutos, para ello, la TTC trabaja arduamente para garantizar el cableado el\u00e9ctrico a\u00e9reo y otras infraestructuras esenciales para soportar el aumento del servicio, antes que los aficionados empiecen a llegar para las celebraciones del evento.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Asimismo, la TTC est\u00e1 realizando evaluaciones para determinar de qu\u00e9 manera la l\u00ednea podr\u00eda gestionar el aumento del servicio y trabajan con la posibilidad de necesitar nuevas mejoras, ya que las simulaciones de la red indican posibles vulnerabilidades que requerir\u00edan algunos ajustes operativos. Para su resoluci\u00f3n, la compa\u00f1\u00eda lucha contra el tiempo limitado.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Por otro lado, el director de estrategia y experiencia del cliente de la TTC, Josh Colle, manifest\u00f3 que la agencia de transporte cuenta con conductores y veh\u00edculos necesarios para ofrecer un servicio de excelencia, faltando apenas revisar completamente la infraestructura para asegurarse que pueda dar cabida a todo ese nivel de servicio, explic\u00f3. Colle reconoci\u00f3 que poner esa red para el Mundial es un riesgo que podr\u00eda traer beneficios a largo plazo.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>El centro de respiro cerrar\u00e1 durante la Copa del Mundo<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La municipalidad de Toronto confirm\u00f3 que el centro de respiro invernal del Better Living Centre cerrar\u00e1 sus puertas un mes antes de lo previsto, pero que las personas sin hogar no se quedar\u00e1n desamparadas. Este centro que funciona 24 horas en el Exhibition Place, dejar\u00e1 de aceptar nuevos ingresos a mediados de febrero y en marzo cerrar\u00e1 sus puertas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seg\u00fan la directora de ventas y m\u00e1rketing de Exhibition Place, Hughena Walsh, el Better Living Centre recibi\u00f3 la licencia de la municipalidad de Toronto para albergar la Copa del Mundo.
