Correos Canad\u00e1 en huelga por cambios del gobierno"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los trabajadores de la empresa p\u00fablica Correos Canad\u00e1 han empezado una huelga, tras el anuncio del gobierno federal el jueves, de que habr\u00e1 cambios en las entregas, as\u00ed como una reducci\u00f3n en el reparto de la empresa y el cierre de algunas de sus oficinas postales.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entre los cambios, las autoridades de Ottawa pidieron a Correos Canad\u00e1 que ajuste sus est\u00e1ndares de entrega para el correo no urgente, asimismo, para reflejar los menores vol\u00famenes actuales, el transporte se realice por v\u00eda terrestre en lugar de la v\u00eda a\u00e9rea.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seg\u00fan el ministro responsable de Correos Canad\u00e1, Joel Lightbound, para garantizar la supervivencia de la empresa de correos nacional, estos cambios son fundamentales. Agreg\u00f3 que la instituci\u00f3n est\u00e1 pr\u00e1cticamente insolvente y que su situaci\u00f3n es insostenible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No obstante, el ministro aclar\u00f3 que estos cambios no alterar\u00e1n las entregas en las comunidades rurales, remotas e ind\u00edgenas. Lightbound asever\u00f3 que Correos Canad\u00e1 tiene la obligaci\u00f3n de servir a todos los canadienses en todas las comunidades del pa\u00eds.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Sobre la huelga de los trabajadores<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El sindicato que representa a los trabajadores de la empresa anunci\u00f3 que sus miembros iniciaron una huelga nacional en la noche del jueves, como una respuesta inmediata a los cambios implementados por el gobierno, que en su entendimiento, les perjudica.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seg\u00fan el negociador del Sindicato Canadiense de Trabajadores Postales (CUPW), Jim Gallant, este viernes, todos deben estar protestando en las calles del pa\u00eds, el movimiento y los respectivos piquetes lo iniciaron trabajadores de las cuatro provincias del Atl\u00e1ntico, dijo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gallant coment\u00f3 que su lucha viene de larga data y que sus reivindicaciones no han sido atendidas, a\u00f1adi\u00f3 que necesitan una oferta decente de los ejecutivos de Correos Canad\u00e1, y que las medidas anunciadas por el ministro los han obligado a recurrir a una huelga.
