Los electores votaron para elegir al presidente, vicepresidente, 151 legisladores y 5 parlamentarios andinos.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participaron de este proceso 16 binomios electorales, sin embargo, los institutos de encuestas consideraban apenas dos de ellos con reales posibilidades de victoria. El actual presidente, Daniel Noboa y la representante de la Revoluci\u00f3n Ciudadana, Luisa Gonz\u00e1les.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A pesar de que algunas encuestadoras anunciaron la victoria a boca de urna de Noboa en primera vuelta, los n\u00fameros oficiales del Consejo Nacional Electoral (CNE), las desmintieron confirmando la necesidad de una segunda vuelta el pr\u00f3ximo domingo, el 13 de abril.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Con m\u00e1s del 92 por ciento de los votos apurados, el CNE anunci\u00f3 que Noboa ten\u00eda el 44,28 por ciento, mientras que Gonz\u00e1les alcanzaba el 43,86 por ciento. La diferencia entre los candidatos era de poco menos de medio punto porcentual, en votos alrededor de 50 mil. Este peque\u00f1o margen entre ambos, hace prever una dura disputa en la segunda vuelta.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>El contexto de estas elecciones<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Analistas consultados, consideran que estos comicios enfrentaron a dos proyectos de poder antag\u00f3nicos, por un lado el neoliberalismo apoyado por el poder econ\u00f3mico y medi\u00e1tico, representado por el movimiento Acci\u00f3n Democr\u00e1tica Nacional (ADN) del actual presidente .<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Por el otro lado, una econom\u00eda social, apoyada por los sectores progresistas y que defiende el legado del ex presidente Rafael Correa, representado por la Revoluci\u00f3n Ciudadana (RC) en alianza con la organizaci\u00f3n Renovaci\u00f3n Total (RETO), de la candidata Luiza Gonz\u00e1les.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aun cuando la jornada electoral, seg\u00fan las autoridades, se llev\u00f3 a cabo con total normalidad, las circunstancias del pa\u00eds han sido de violencia y tensiones pol\u00edticas. La mayor queja de los ciudadanos es la inseguridad, en uno de los pa\u00edses m\u00e1s peligrosos de la regi\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Asimismo, los aqueja la situaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica en la que est\u00e1 sumido Ecuador, con un crecimiento estancado y un incremento del empleo informal.
