As\u00ed lo confirm\u00f3 el portavoz presidencial, Manuel Adorni, durante una conferencia de prensa en la Casa Rosada.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La medida de Milei sigue los pasos de su aliado, el presidente de Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, quien orden\u00f3 la salida de su pa\u00eds de la OMS el pasado 21 de enero, en su primer d\u00eda de regreso al cargo. La decisi\u00f3n de Argentina se suma a una creciente fragmentaci\u00f3n en la cooperaci\u00f3n en materia de salud global, aunque el aporte financiero del pa\u00eds a la organizaci\u00f3n era relativamente bajo, estimado en 8 millones de d\u00f3lares dentro de un presupuesto total de la OMS de 6.900 millones de d\u00f3lares para el per\u00edodo 2024-2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seg\u00fan explic\u00f3 Adorni, la salida de Argentina responde a diferencias con la gesti\u00f3n de la OMS, especialmente durante la pandemia de COVID-19, cuando, seg\u00fan el gobierno, las directrices de la organizaci\u00f3n impulsaron \u201cel mayor cierre en la historia de la humanidad\u201d. Enfatiz\u00f3 que Argentina no permitir\u00e1 la intervenci\u00f3n de organismos internacionales en su soberan\u00eda, \u201cy mucho menos en nuestra salud\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Declaraciones de la OMS<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La OMS, por su parte, ha se\u00f1alado que sus recomendaciones no son de cumplimiento obligatorio y que cada pa\u00eds tiene la libertad de implementar sus propias pol\u00edticas sanitarias. Ante el anuncio argentino, la agencia indic\u00f3 que estaba investigando la decisi\u00f3n del gobierno de Milei.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El presidente argentino ha sido un fuerte cr\u00edtico del confinamiento impuesto por su predecesor, Alberto Fern\u00e1ndez, durante la pandemia, asegurando que da\u00f1\u00f3 gravemente la econom\u00eda del pa\u00eds y fue utilizado como un \u201cmecanismo de represi\u00f3n\u201d. Milei reafirm\u00f3 su postura con un mensaje en la red social X, donde escribi\u00f3: \u201cVIVA LA LIBERTAD\u201d, en referencia a su rechazo a la OMS.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adorni tambi\u00e9n aclar\u00f3 que Argentina no recibe financiamiento de la OMS para la gesti\u00f3n de su sistema de salud, por lo que la decisi\u00f3n no afectar\u00e1 la calidad de los servicios m\u00e9dicos en el pa\u00eds. \u201cPor el contrario, da mayor flexibilidad para implementar pol\u00edticas adaptadas al contexto de intereses que requiere la Argentina\u201d, asegur\u00f3 el portavoz.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El anuncio sobre la OMS se produce pocos d\u00edas antes del pr\u00f3ximo viaje de Milei a Estados Unidos, donde coincidir\u00e1 con la Conferencia de Acci\u00f3n Pol\u00edtica Conservadora (CPAC) en Washington, un evento clave para l\u00edderes de derecha.
