Naciones Unidas conden\u00f3 el hecho, calific\u00e1ndolo como una \u201catrocidad inaceptable\u201d, y reiter\u00f3 su llamado a la comunidad internacional para actuar de forma urgente.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seg\u00fan la Red Nacional en Defensa de los Derechos Humanos (RNDDH), la masacre fue ordenada por Monel F\u00e9lix, alias \u201cMikano\u201d, un l\u00edder de pandillas que acus\u00f3 a un grupo de ancianos de realizar rituales vud\u00fa que habr\u00edan causado la enfermedad de su hijo. Los atacantes irrumpieron con machetes en la comunidad costera de Wharf J\u00e9remie, dejando al menos 127 personas mayores entre las v\u00edctimas.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Una naci\u00f3n dominada por las pandillas<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La violencia de las pandillas domina Hait\u00ed desde el magnicidio del presidente Jovenel Moise en 2021. Se estima que estos grupos controlan el 85% de la capital y operan como poderes paralelos, financiados por el tr\u00e1fico de armas, drogas y personas. En lo que va del a\u00f1o, la violencia ha dejado m\u00e1s de 5.000 muertos y ha desplazado a 700.000 personas, seg\u00fan datos de la ONU.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Volker T\u00fcrk, alto comisionado de la ONU para los Derechos Humanos, advirti\u00f3 que la situaci\u00f3n en Hait\u00ed es insostenible: \u201cEl pueblo haitiano enfrenta una cat\u00e1strofe humanitaria y de seguridad sin precedentes. Actualmente, esta misi\u00f3n liderada por Kenia carece de los recursos y personal necesarios para operar eficazmente, con apenas 400 de los 2.500 agentes prometidos y solo $97 millones asignados de los $600 millones requeridos para su primer a\u00f1o.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Organizaciones como <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Human Rights Watch<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> han se\u00f1alado la urgencia de una intervenci\u00f3n m\u00e1s robusta. \u201cEl pueblo haitiano necesita una misi\u00f3n plena de la ONU que garantice seguridad, justicia y derechos humanos.
