Con una mayor\u00eda de siete votos, el proyecto de sentencia que buscaba invalidar partes de la reforma y suspender la elecci\u00f3n popular de jueces fue rechazado, permitiendo que el gobierno avance con la reestructuraci\u00f3n del poder judicial.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En un comunicado, la Corte explic\u00f3 que la decisi\u00f3n \u201cno implica que se haga pronunciamiento alguno sobre la validez de la reforma\u201d. La reforma, impulsada por el expresidente Andr\u00e9s Manuel L\u00f3pez Obrador y respaldada por la presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum, enfrenta oposici\u00f3n de partidos y colectivos judiciales que la consideran una amenaza a la independencia de poderes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La reforma propone, entre otros aspectos, la elecci\u00f3n popular de jueces en 2025 y 2027 y la extinci\u00f3n de fideicomisos judiciales. Ante esta situaci\u00f3n, jueces y trabajadores se manifestaron en la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico, expresando su preocupaci\u00f3n por la posible p\u00e9rdida de independencia judicial. \u201cEstamos defendiendo la democracia\u201d, coment\u00f3 Ren\u00e9 Hern\u00e1ndez, un estudiante de derecho.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La reforma fue presentada por el ministro Juan Luis Gonz\u00e1lez Alc\u00e1ntara e inclu\u00eda la remoci\u00f3n de jueces y magistrados antes de la renovaci\u00f3n. Los puntos clave abarcan la elecci\u00f3n de magistrados del Tribunal Disciplinario y la creaci\u00f3n de un nuevo \u00f3rgano administrativo, aunque la elecci\u00f3n de jueces por voto popular es uno de los aspectos m\u00e1s controvertidos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sheinbaum sostuvo que no ceder\u00e1 en \u201clo que ha decidido el pueblo\u201d y que los ministros \u201cno pueden estar por encima de la voz popular\u201d. Para blindar la reforma, la mayor\u00eda oficialista en el Congreso aprob\u00f3 la semana pasada una medida para impedir que los cambios puedan ser detenidos por los tribunales.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El rechazo a esta reforma tambi\u00e9n ha llegado desde el extranjero. Especialistas y gobiernos de Estados Unidos y Canad\u00e1 han advertido sobre el riesgo para la independencia judicial. Los cr\u00edticos sostienen que la elecci\u00f3n popular podr\u00eda permitir la influencia de actores pol\u00edticos en el sistema de justicia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Con la decisi\u00f3n de la Corte, el camino queda libre para la implementaci\u00f3n de la reforma.
