La canciller mexicana, Alicia B\u00e1rcena, entreg\u00f3 la solicitud de procedimiento contra Ecuador, argumentando que la acci\u00f3n constituy\u00f3 una violaci\u00f3n flagrante a la inviolabilidad de la embajada y result\u00f3 en ataques f\u00edsicos contra diplom\u00e1ticos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El incidente, que tuvo lugar el pasado 5 de abril, condujo a la detenci\u00f3n del exvicepresidente ecuatoriano Jorge Glas, quien hab\u00eda recibido asilo pol\u00edtico en la sede diplom\u00e1tica mexicana desde diciembre. M\u00e9xico ha exigido una disculpa p\u00fablica de Ecuador y ha anunciado que solicitar\u00e1 la suspensi\u00f3n del pa\u00eds andino como integrante de la Organizaci\u00f3n de Naciones Unidas hasta que se emita una disculpa p\u00fablica reconociendo las violaciones a los principios y normas fundamentales del derecho internacional.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El presidente mexicano, Andr\u00e9s Manuel L\u00f3pez Obrador, ha expresado su firme determinaci\u00f3n de evitar la repetici\u00f3n de tales violaciones a la inviolabilidad diplom\u00e1tica. Como parte del proceso legal, M\u00e9xico tambi\u00e9n ha solicitado medidas provisionales para garantizar la seguridad de su embajada en Quito.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La crisis diplom\u00e1tica ha tenido repercusiones en las relaciones comerciales entre ambos pa\u00edses, suspendiendo las negociaciones para un tratado comercial que estaban en curso. La situaci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n ha generado preocupaci\u00f3n en la comunidad internacional, con el respaldo de una treintena de pa\u00edses de la regi\u00f3n y de Europa a la posici\u00f3n mexicana.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Posibles sanciones a nivel regional\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La mandataria hondure\u00f1a, Xiomara Castro, ha anunciado la reprogramaci\u00f3n de una cumbre de la CELAC para analizar la situaci\u00f3n, atendiendo a la solicitud de M\u00e9xico.
