As\u00ed lo afirm\u00f3 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Delta Air Lines<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, que atribuye el mantenimiento de las tarifas a la fuerte demanda de viajes y no \u00fanicamente al costo del combustible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Durante la presentaci\u00f3n de sus resultados financieros del segundo trimestre, la aerol\u00ednea inform\u00f3 que las tarifas promedio contin\u00faan entre un 11% y un 12% por encima de las registradas el a\u00f1o anterior y anticip\u00f3 que esos niveles se mantendr\u00e1n durante el resto de 2026. Seg\u00fan la compa\u00f1\u00eda, la alta demanda de pasajeros permite sostener los precios pese a que el combustible para aviones ha disminuido cerca de un 36% desde el m\u00e1ximo alcanzado en abril, tras la reducci\u00f3n de las tensiones en Medio Oriente.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El combustible representa el segundo mayor gasto operativo para las aerol\u00edneas, solo por detr\u00e1s de los costos laborales. Durante el segundo trimestre, Delta enfrent\u00f3 un fuerte incremento en este rubro debido al alza del petr\u00f3leo provocada por el conflicto entre Israel e Ir\u00e1n. Sin embargo, la empresa se\u00f1al\u00f3 que el aumento de las tarifas permiti\u00f3 compensar buena parte de ese impacto financiero.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>La demanda sigue marcando el precio de los pasajes<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De acuerdo con Delta, el valor de los boletos responde principalmente al equilibrio entre la oferta y la demanda. La compa\u00f1\u00eda sostiene que el inter\u00e9s por viajar contin\u00faa siendo elevado, especialmente entre los pasajeros que adquieren servicios premium, segmento que registr\u00f3 un crecimiento superior al de la clase econ\u00f3mica durante el \u00faltimo trimestre.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Analistas del sector coinciden en que la reducci\u00f3n del precio del combustible no garantiza autom\u00e1ticamente tarifas m\u00e1s bajas. En los \u00faltimos meses, varias aerol\u00edneas han reducido la oferta de vuelos en rutas menos rentables y la menor competencia en algunos mercados ha contribuido a mantener los precios elevados. Adem\u00e1s, la demanda de viajes contin\u00faa siendo s\u00f3lida pese al contexto econ\u00f3mico.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Si bien Delta prev\u00e9 que sus costos de combustible disminuir\u00e1n durante el tercer trimestre, la empresa no contempla trasladar ese ahorro a los consumidores mediante una reducci\u00f3n generalizada de tarifas.
