El Ministerio de Inmigraci\u00f3n de Quebec (MIFI) alcanz\u00f3 su cupo m\u00e1ximo de compromisos de patrocinio y cerr\u00f3 la ventana para nuevas solicitudes. La restricci\u00f3n est\u00e1 vigente hasta el 25 de junio de 2026 y aplica \u00fanicamente para esa provincia. En el resto del pa\u00eds, el programa federal sigue abierto.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<h2><b>\u00bfQu\u00e9 significa que se llenaron los cupos?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cada per\u00edodo, el MIFI fija un n\u00famero m\u00e1ximo de compromisos de patrocinio que est\u00e1 dispuesto a procesar. Cuando ese tope se alcanza, deja de aceptar nuevas aplicaciones hasta que el ciclo se renueve. No se trata de ning\u00fan cambio de pol\u00edtica: es una pr\u00e1ctica recurrente en Quebec, que administra su propia inmigraci\u00f3n con cierta independencia respecto al sistema federal. Ha ocurrido antes y seguir\u00e1 ocurriendo.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>\u00bfLos que ya presentaron su solicitud est\u00e1n bien?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">S\u00ed, sin problema. Quienes ya ingresaron su solicitud y cuentan con el acuse de recibo correspondiente pueden estar tranquilos: sus expedientes contin\u00faan en proceso con normalidad. La restricci\u00f3n afecta exclusivamente a las nuevas aplicaciones que se intenten presentar a partir del cierre.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>\u00bfQu\u00e9 pasa despu\u00e9s del 25 de junio?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Se espera que el MIFI reabra el programa para nuevas solicitudes una vez venza el per\u00edodo de cierre. Sin embargo, en ciclos anteriores los cupos disponibles se han llenado en cuesti\u00f3n de d\u00edas desde que se abre la ventana. Quien tenga intenci\u00f3n de aplicar debe tener toda la documentaci\u00f3n lista, formularios, cartas de compromiso, estados financieros para actuar de inmediato cuando se haga el anuncio oficial.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>\u00bfY si vivo fuera de Quebec?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La situaci\u00f3n es distinta. En las dem\u00e1s provincias canadienses, el patrocinio de c\u00f3nyuge se gestiona directamente con el IRCC federal y permanece abierto. Los tiempos de procesamiento actuales oscilan entre aproximadamente 16 meses para solicitudes presentadas desde el exterior (outland) y alrededor de 25 meses para las que se tramitan desde dentro de Canad\u00e1 (inland).
