Con ello, el total acumulado de la temporada alcanza los 343 casos en la zona. Las autoridades sanitarias locales se\u00f1alan que, si bien el aumento es consistente con el comportamiento estacional del virus, la vacunaci\u00f3n sigue siendo una herramienta clave para reducir los cuadros graves, especialmente en adultos mayores, ni\u00f1os peque\u00f1os y personas con enfermedades preexistentes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Farmacias de la regi\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n han reportado un aumento sostenido en la demanda de la vacuna contra la gripe durante esta temporada, superando las cifras del a\u00f1o anterior. Especialistas advierten que actualmente circulan varias cepas, entre ellas Influenza A y B, as\u00ed como H1N1 y H3N2, esta \u00faltima identificada como la predominante. La variabilidad del virus y la menor inmunidad de la poblaci\u00f3n frente a algunas cepas podr\u00edan estar influyendo en el mayor n\u00famero de contagios.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Medidas preventivas se refuerzan en hospitales de London<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mientras el alza de casos se concentra en la regi\u00f3n de Waterloo, se han implementado medidas preventivas m\u00e1s estrictas en hospitales de la ciudad de London, en la provincia de Ontario. En estos centros de salud se reintrodujo el uso obligatorio de mascarillas en \u00e1reas cl\u00ednicas, como una acci\u00f3n preventiva frente al aumento de enfermedades respiratorias.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Las autoridades hospitalarias indicaron que la medida busca proteger tanto a pacientes como al personal sanitario, especialmente en entornos donde el contacto cercano es inevitable.
