Estas son algunas de las conclusiones entregadas por la Auditora General de la provincia.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El martes se present\u00f3 en la sede de la Asamblea Legislativa de Ontario, el informe anual sobre el servicio de salud que ofrece la provincia. La responsable por el estudio es la Auditora General, Shelley Spence y enfoc\u00f3 su investigaci\u00f3n en la atenci\u00f3n primaria.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entre los temas tratados en el informe anual destacaron: la facturaci\u00f3n del Plan de Seguro M\u00e9dico de Ontario (OHIP), la publicidad gubernamental, as\u00ed como la gesti\u00f3n del suministro del Equipo de Protecci\u00f3n Individual (EPI), de extrema importancia para los trabajadores.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>M\u00faltiples problemas en todos los campos<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shelley Spence asever\u00f3 que debido al mal desempe\u00f1o del Ministerio de Salud, muchos residentes en esta provincia no consiguen un m\u00e9dico de cabecera. Agreg\u00f3 que ni el Ministerio de Salud, ni Salud Ontario cuentan con procesos consistentes para planificar y supervisar programas que mejoren el acceso de los pacientes a la atenci\u00f3n primaria.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La auditora general a\u00f1adi\u00f3, que el sistema dise\u00f1ado para conectar a los pacientes con los m\u00e9dicos de familia, denominado Conexi\u00f3n de Atenci\u00f3n M\u00e9dica (HCC), no ha alcanzado plenamente sus objetivos y ha dejado a la deriva a cientos de miles de pacientes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spence declar\u00f3 que en junio de este a\u00f1o, hab\u00eda 178 mil personas esperando por un m\u00e9dico de familia, de las cuales, 108 mil llevaban m\u00e1s de un a\u00f1o en la expectativa de conseguir uno. Asimismo, alrededor de 5 mil de ellas, presentaban complejas necesidades de salud.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Falta de actualizaci\u00f3n del sistema<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La auditora Spence, coment\u00f3 que el programa HCC, lanzado en 2009, ya no es adecuado para las necesidades actuales. As\u00ed lo confirmaron el a\u00f1o pasado, 12 equipos de salud que informaron al Ministerio de Salud, que ya no apoyaban ni recomendaban su utilizaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Otro aspecto de la administraci\u00f3n provincial de la salud que llam\u00f3 la atenci\u00f3n de la auditora, fue descubrir que desde el 2015, el gobierno no ha actualizado su plan de comunicaci\u00f3n, lo que podr\u00eda explicar por qu\u00e9 apenas el 11% de los que se conoce que no tienen m\u00e9dicos de cabecera, est\u00e1n registrados en ese sitio. Ese porcentaje equivale a 235 mil residentes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En enero de 2025, el gobierno provincial anunci\u00f3 un Plan de Atenci\u00f3n Primaria, de 1,800 millones de d\u00f3lares, con el objetivo de conectar en un plazo de cuatro a\u00f1os, a todos los ciudadanos de la provincia con la atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica primaria.
