Se trata de una considerable ventaja de dos d\u00edgitos sobre su m\u00e1s cercano competidor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recordemos que la actual alcaldesa accedi\u00f3 al cargo en unas elecciones parciales tras la renuncia del titular de entonces, John Tory. Olivia Chow, completar\u00e1 su mandato y las pr\u00f3ximas elecciones municipales generales est\u00e1n pautadas para el 26 de octubre de 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De los potenciales candidatos, el competidor m\u00e1s cercano ser\u00eda el concejal Brad Bradford, que obtendr\u00eda el 16% del total de votantes y el 19 de los votantes decididos; seguido por la ex vicealcaldesa Ana Bailao, que goza de la preferencia del 11% del total de electores y del 13% de los votantes decididos. Ambos participaron de las pasadas elecciones parciales.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>El efecto John Tory<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hace algunas semanas anunciamos en este medio sobre la posibilidad del ex alcalde John Tory, se presentara a las pr\u00f3ximas elecciones, se inform\u00f3 que a pesar de que \u00e9l mismo no hab\u00eda confirmado su inter\u00e9s de participar del proceso electoral, hab\u00eda sectores importantes de la ciudad de Toronto que quisieran verlo nuevamente como alcalde.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tras su investigaci\u00f3n, Liaison Strategies asegura que si John Tory se presenta a las elecciones, las circunstancias cambiar\u00edan totalmente, el proceso electoral se convertir\u00eda en una disputa entre apenas dos competidores con posibilidades reales de victoria y que ninguno de los otros candidatos alcanzar\u00eda m\u00e1s del 7 por ciento de los votos decididos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Con John Tory en la disputa, las preferencias por Olivia Chow se reducir\u00edan al 34% del total de votantes y al 39% de los votos decididos, mientras que John Tory obtendr\u00eda el apoyo del 31% de los electores y el 35% de los votantes decididos. El 12% se defini\u00f3 como indeciso.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Sobre Olivia Chow<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Liaison Strategies revel\u00f3 que Olivia Chow tiene la aprobaci\u00f3n del 51% de los habitantes y que a pesar de ser positivo, es el menor desde que fue elegida. En diciembre ten\u00eda el 60% del apoyo popular. Esta encuesta se realiz\u00f3 despu\u00e9s de que la alcaldesa conmemorara el segundo aniversario de su victoria en las elecciones parciales y su llegada a la alcald\u00eda.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Esta encuesta de Liaison Strategies se realiz\u00f3 entre el 2 y el 6 de julio y entrevist\u00f3 a mil electores de Toronto. El margen de error de este tipo de sondeos es del 3,09%.
