Esta medida fue tomada despu\u00e9s de que guardaparques y gu\u00edas reportaran la presencia de numerosas aves muertas en estas islas, aunque la instituci\u00f3n no precis\u00f3 la cantidad ni las especies afectadas.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>\u00bfQu\u00e9 dicen las autoridades?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El director del Parque Nacional, Arturo Izurieta, asegur\u00f3 que las \u00fanicas colonias de ping\u00fcinos de Gal\u00e1pagos y cormoranes no voladores en estas \u00e1reas \u00abse mantienen saludables\u00bb, seg\u00fan los informes de los cient\u00edficos y t\u00e9cnicos encargados del monitoreo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los cient\u00edficos explican que la gripe aviar, detectada anteriormente en algunas islas, llega a trav\u00e9s de especies migratorias que pasan por el archipi\u00e9lago ecuatoriano, un santuario mundial de vida silvestre ubicado en medio del oc\u00e9ano Pac\u00edfico, a 1.000 kil\u00f3metros del continente.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El Parque Nacional de Gal\u00e1pagos tambi\u00e9n destac\u00f3 que se esperan los \u00faltimos resultados de las muestras tomadas en poblaciones de aves de las islas San Crist\u00f3bal, Genovesa y Espa\u00f1ola.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Durante el a\u00f1o pasado, se registraron al menos dos brotes de gripe aviar en diversas poblaciones de p\u00e1jaros de Gal\u00e1pagos en las islas Genovesa y Wolf, afectando principalmente a piqueros y albatros.
