Este informe de Estad\u00edsticas Canad\u00e1, sale a la luz, justo cuando un caso de agresi\u00f3n sexual en el hockey, innvolucra a cinco ex miembros del equipo mundial juvenil de Canad\u00e1.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Para la profesora jubilada de la Universidad de Toronto, Helen Jefferson Lenskyj, que es especialista en cuestiones de g\u00e9nero y de seguridad en los deportes, los hallazgos son extremadamente preocupantes, pero no sorprendentes. Asimismo, el 18 por ciento declar\u00f3 que hab\u00eda experimentado o presenciado un trato injusto en el ejercicio de su actividad deportiva, como racismo o alg\u00fan otro tipo de discriminaci\u00f3n.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seg\u00fan Estad\u00edsticas Canad\u00e1, el 42 por ciento de las lesbianas y los homosexuales canadienses ten\u00edan m\u00e1s posibilidades de reportar haber enfrentado o presenciado este tipo de comportamiento, as\u00ed como el 30 por ciento de los j\u00f3venes entre 15 y 24 a\u00f1os. Los incidentes de discriminaci\u00f3n reportados por los entrevistados, abarcaban desde bromas o comentarios insensibles, hasta insultos, burlas y exclusi\u00f3n de actividades grupales.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ante esta situaci\u00f3n, el gobierno federal est\u00e1 tomando medidas, entre ellas, la creaci\u00f3n de un registro de personas que han sido sancionadas o suspendidas dentro del sistema deportivo.
