Los profesores, investigadores y el personal de apoyo se preparaban para empezar una huelga en la ma\u00f1ana de este lunes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El acuerdo provisional se concluy\u00f3 minutos antes de la medianoche del domingo, as\u00ed lo confirm\u00f3 el Sindicato Canadiense de Empleados P\u00fablicos (CUPE) y as\u00ed se pudo evitar el paro. Esta ma\u00f1ana se realiza una manifestaci\u00f3n para celebrar el \u00e9xito de la negociaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participar\u00edan de la huelga, siete mil educadores e instructores contratados, asistentes de ense\u00f1anza, investigadores y estudiantes de post doctorado, asimismo, otros mil trabajadores de mantenimiento, tecn\u00f3logos veterinarios, jardineros, cuidadores, trabajadores eventuales, personal de residencias estudiantiles y servicios de alimentos.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Qu\u00e9 incluye el acuerdo<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seg\u00fan los representantes de CUPE 3261 y CUPE 3902, el acuerdo es una victoria con ganancias hist\u00f3ricas para los trabajadores e incluye un incremento salarial, protecciones para los beneficios de atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica, as\u00ed como una cobertura m\u00e1s s\u00f3lida de salud dental.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los funcionarios recalcan que sus sindicatos exigieron que la universidad aceptara los aumentos salariales propuestos por encima del Proyecto de Ley 124, recientemente considerado anticonstitucional y que limitaba los incrementos salariales del sector p\u00fablico al uno por ciento anual, adem\u00e1s de las demandas espec\u00edficas de cada unidad de negociaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Este acuerdo provisional incluye un aumento salarial del 12,8 por ciento durante los pr\u00f3ximos tres a\u00f1os para los vinculados a CUPE 3902 Unidad 1 y para los de la Unidad 5 de la misma CUPE, aumentos generales del 9 por ciento, retroactivos a 2023. Los sindicatos piden tambi\u00e9n que la universidad pague el mismo salario por el mismo trabajo realizado.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tras el acuerdo, se espera que se realice una votaci\u00f3n de ratificaci\u00f3n en los pr\u00f3ximos d\u00edas.
