Su principal rival es Brad Bradford, concejal del distrito de Beaches-East York. La elecci\u00f3n es el 26 de octubre. En una ciudad donde m\u00e1s del 50% de la poblaci\u00f3n naci\u00f3 fuera de Canad\u00e1, quien gane esa elecci\u00f3n toma decisiones que afectan directamente la vida cotidiana de cientos de miles de inmigrantes: transporte, vivienda, servicios sociales, y el tono con que la ciudad se relaciona con quienes llegan.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>\u00bfQu\u00e9 ha hecho Chow y qu\u00e9 propone para su segundo mandato?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chow lleg\u00f3 a la alcald\u00eda en 2023 con una plataforma centrada en vivienda asequible, transporte p\u00fablico y protecci\u00f3n a los inquilinos. En su primer mandato firm\u00f3 el acuerdo tripartito para el Waterfront East LRT \u2014 tres mil millones de d\u00f3lares para conectar el este del frente costero y habilitar 75,000 nuevas viviendas. Impuls\u00f3 la expansi\u00f3n del Fair Pass, el programa de tarifa reducida del TTC para personas de bajos ingresos.
