Seg\u00fan el Departamento de Seguridad Nacional, el 94% de los pasajeros ya cumple con la norma, y la nueva tarifa busca incentivar a los usuarios restantes a obtener la credencial.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">REAL ID<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, identificable por una estrella blanca dentro de un c\u00edrculo amarillo en la mayor\u00eda de los estados, es una licencia o tarjeta emitida por las agencias estatales que cumple con est\u00e1ndares federales reforzados tras los atentados del 11 de septiembre de 2001. Su obtenci\u00f3n exige m\u00e1s documentaci\u00f3n que las identificaciones estatales regulares, y su implementaci\u00f3n se ha pospuesto en varias ocasiones.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Desde febrero, los viajeros de 18 a\u00f1os o m\u00e1s que vuelen dentro del pa\u00eds sin una REAL ID y sin otra identificaci\u00f3n aceptada (como un pasaporte) deber\u00e1n pagar la tarifa no reembolsable para acceder al sistema alternativo de verificaci\u00f3n \u201cConfirm.ID\u201d de la TSA.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La agencia advirti\u00f3 que el pago no garantiza la aprobaci\u00f3n: si la identidad no puede verificarse, el pasajero podr\u00eda ser rechazado. En caso de ser validada, la verificaci\u00f3n ser\u00e1 v\u00e1lida para un periodo de viaje de 10 d\u00edas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La tarifa puede pagarse en l\u00ednea antes de llegar al aeropuerto o desde el mismo aeropuerto antes del control de seguridad, aunque el proceso puede tardar hasta 30 minutos. La TSA hab\u00eda propuesto inicialmente un cargo de 18 d\u00f3lares, pero lo increment\u00f3 tras determinar que el costo del sistema alternativo ser\u00eda mayor al previsto.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entre las identificaciones aceptadas se incluyen credenciales militares, tarjetas de residencia permanente e identificaciones con foto emitidas por naciones tribales reconocidas federalmente.
