El incremento masivo de la violencia se inici\u00f3 en 2018-2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tras conocerse estos resultados, muchos docentes y pol\u00edticos de oposici\u00f3n est\u00e1n exigiendo al premier de Ontario, Doug Ford, que aborde urgentemente esta crisis de violencia en las escuelas y principalmente invierta m\u00e1s recursos en el sistema educativo provincial.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Con excepci\u00f3n del periodo de la pandemia del COVID 19, cuando las juntas escolares cerraron por un prolongado periodo, el resto del tiempo la tasa de incidentes violentos se ha incrementado a\u00f1o tras a\u00f1o, sin que se tomaran medidas, hasta llegar a la actual situaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Escalada asustadora de violencia\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Durante los \u00faltimos siete a\u00f1os, hubo un aumento significativo de la violencia en las aulas escolares de la provincia. Seg\u00fan las cifras reportadas por las Juntas Escolares de Ontario, al Ministerio de Educaci\u00f3n, los incidentes violentos han ido aumentando anualmente.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En el periodo 2018-2019, las escuelas reportaron 2,499 incidentes violentos; en 2019-2020, aumentaron a 3,237. Hubo una pausa durante la pandemia, pero en el periodo 2022-2023, estos actos se dispararon alcanzando los 4,414, hasta que el pasado a\u00f1o, totalizaron un asustados r\u00e9cord, con 4,424 casos de actos de agresiones dentro de los locales escolares.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entre las Juntas Escolares que registraron un mayor n\u00famero de actos de esta naturaleza, destaca la del Distrito de Peel, que durante el a\u00f1o escolar 2023-2024, registr\u00f3 431 hechos. Seguido del Distrito Escolar de Toronto, el m\u00e1s grande del pa\u00eds, que en el mismo periodo report\u00f3 410 incidentes. Halton, fue el tercero con 237 incidentes de violencia registrados.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Repercusiones al aumento de la violencia<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Para la diputada provincial del NDP, Chandra Pasma, los resultados divulgados apenas confirman lo que los padres y educadores hace mucho tiempo denuncian. Existe una crisis significativa de violencia en las aulas y la situaci\u00f3n viene empeorando con el tiempo, dijo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chandra Pasma a\u00f1adi\u00f3 que la crisis es el resultado de la falta de financiaci\u00f3n y que el gobierno elude sus responsabilidades.
