Es considerado un aumento significativo de los gastos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Este incremento salarial forma parte del esfuerzo del gobierno por aumentar el gasto militar y as\u00ed poder cumplir con los compromisos asumidos por Mark Carney con la Organizaci\u00f3n del Tratado del Atl\u00e1ntico Norte (OTAN), dentro del plazo prometido, a inicios del 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Asimismo, funcionarios de defensa aseveraron que este aumento de salarios y beneficios tendr\u00e1 un costo anual de 2 mil millones de d\u00f3lares. Con ese aumento, para el pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o, el presupuesto de defensa y seguridad de Canad\u00e1 alcanzar\u00e1 los 62,700 millones de d\u00f3lares.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Impulsar el reclutamiento<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adem\u00e1s de cumplir sus compromisos con la OTAN, las autoridades de defensa afirmaron que esa mejora en los salarios y los beneficios incentivar\u00e1 al reclutamiento de m\u00e1s j\u00f3venes, para intentar compensar la p\u00e9rdida de 5,026 miembros en los \u00faltimos tiempos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De hecho, el presente a\u00f1o fiscal el reclutamiento militar en las fuerzas armadas alcanz\u00f3 un r\u00e9cord, con la incorporaci\u00f3n de 6,700 nuevos inscritos, que de alguna manera compensar\u00e1n las recientes p\u00e9rdidas y el creciente problema de retenci\u00f3n que enfrentan estas fuerzas.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El primer ministro se ha comprometido a alcanzar este a\u00f1o fiscal, el objetivo de invertir el 2 por ciento del PIB en gastos de defensa.
