El jurado lo sentenci\u00f3 a seis a\u00f1os y medio de prisi\u00f3n y obtuvo su libertad condicional en 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seg\u00fan testigos del juicio, en los diversos eventos en los que particip\u00f3, James Forcillo jam\u00e1s mostr\u00f3 remordimiento por haberle quitado la vida a Sammy Yatim, ni siquiera cuando particip\u00f3 de la audiencia que le otorg\u00f3 su libertad condicional. Su \u00fanica preocupaci\u00f3n era saber si hab\u00eda seguido correctamente su entrenamiento durante el episodio.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Repercusiones<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La pregunta que muchos se hacen es, siendo Forcillo un oficial muy activo, con un historial de uso de fuerza desmedida en sus acciones, c\u00f3mo es que ninguno de sus supervisores no haya notado nada. Cuando preguntado sobre si alguien en la polic\u00eda le hab\u00eda hablado sobre su comportamiento o si le hab\u00edan advertido sobre su brusquedad, las respuestas fueron no.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Otro aspecto que genera cierta inquietud entre los habitantes de Toronto, es si el entrenamiento dado a los oficiales de polic\u00eda, principalmente en el aspecto psicol\u00f3gico, est\u00e1 alcanzando los objetivos trazados.
